A9-9425 vs Ryzen 3 7320U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 3 7320U is faster than the A9-9425. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A9-9425 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 3 7320U has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A9-9425 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A9-9425. With our hardware info, we find that the A9-9425 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 3 7320U. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 7320U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 3 7320U has more L2 cache than the A9-9425
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A9-9425 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
