A9-9425 vs Core i5-12450HX benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-12450HX performs better than the A9-9425. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A9-9425 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12450HX has significantly more cores than the A9-9425. Indeed, the Core i5-12450HX has 8 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A9-9425. It also has more threads than the A9-9425. With our hardware info, we find that the A9-9425 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12450HX. Despite this, the Core i5-12450HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. A A9-9425 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-12450HX CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-12450HX has more L2 cache than the A9-9425
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A9-9425 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
