A9-9420 vs Celeron E3500 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Celeron E3500 beats the A9-9420 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A9-9420 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A9-9420 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Celeron E3500. A A9-9420 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron E3500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A9-9420 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
