A8-9600 vs Xeon L5520 comparison

In our benchmarks, the Xeon L5520 beats the A8-9600 in overall performance. Despite this, the A8-9600 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon L5520 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-9600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon L5520. Also, the A8-9600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon L5520 outputs less heat than A8-9600 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A8-9600 has more L2 cache than the Xeon L5520

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A8-9600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
