A8-9600 vs Pentium G4560 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium G4560 performs better than the A8-9600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-9600 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-9600 has significantly more cores than the Pentium G4560. Indeed, the A8-9600 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium G4560. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Pentium G4560 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-9600. The Pentium G4560 outputs less heat than A8-9600 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A8-9600 has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium G4560

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A8-9600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
