A8-9600 vs Core i7-2630QM benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-2630QM performs better than the A8-9600. Despite this, the A8-9600 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-2630QM has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-9600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-2630QM. Also, the A8-9600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-2630QM outputs less heat than A8-9600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking.
