A8-9600 vs Core i3-1115G4E benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-1115G4E performs better than the A8-9600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-9600 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-9600 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-1115G4E. Indeed, the A8-9600 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-1115G4E. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-9600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1115G4E. Despite this, the Core i3-1115G4E has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1115G4E outputs less heat than A8-9600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-1115G4E has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the A8-9600

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A8-9600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
