A8-9600 vs Athlon 3000G benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Athlon 3000G is faster than the A8-9600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-9600 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-9600 has significantly more cores than the Athlon 3000G. Indeed, the A8-9600 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Athlon 3000G. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Athlon 3000G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-9600. The Athlon 3000G outputs less heat than A8-9600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A8-9600 has significantly more L2 cache than the Athlon 3000G
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A8-9600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
