A8-7650K vs Xeon X5450 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5450 performs better than the A8-7650K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7650K in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A8-7650K that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A8-7650K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X5450. A A8-7650K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5450 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Xeon X5450 has significantly more L2 cache than the A8-7650K
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the A8-7650K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
