A8-7650K vs Pentium G4400 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the A8-7650K beats the Pentium G4400 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium G4400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the A8-7650K has more threads. Both the A8-7650K and Pentium G4400 have the same clock speed. The Pentium G4400 outputs less heat than A8-7650K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A8-7650K has more L2 cache than the Pentium G4400

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-7650K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
