A8-7600 vs Ryzen 7 5700X benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5700X is faster than the A8-7600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-7600 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5700X has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the A8-7600 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A8-7600. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher clock speed than the A8-7600. Also, the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-7600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
