A8-6600K vs Celeron J6412 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A8-6600K performs better than the Celeron J6412. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron J6412 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Celeron J6412 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A8-6600K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A8-6600K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron J6412. In terms of cache, the A8-6600K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron J6412
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-6600K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
