A8-6600K vs A10-6700 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the A10-6700 beats the A8-6600K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-6600K in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A10-6700 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A8-6600K that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-6600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the A10-6700. In terms of cache, the A8-6600K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the A10-6700
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the A8-6600K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
