A8-6500 vs FX-4130 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A8-6500 performs better than the FX-4130. Despite this, the FX-4130 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the FX-4130 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-6500. A A8-6500 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-4130 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-6500 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
