A8-6410 vs Core i3-2370M comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-2370M is faster than the A8-6410. Despite this, the A8-6410 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A8-6410 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-2370M. Indeed, the A8-6410 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-2370M. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i3-2370M has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-6410. A A8-6410 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-2370M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A8-6410 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
