A8-6410 vs Core 2 Duo T6400 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-6410 is faster than the Core 2 Duo T6400. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 2 Duo T6400 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the A8-6410 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core 2 Duo T6400 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo T6400. In terms of clock speed, the A8-6410 and Core 2 Duo T6400 are identical in this regard. A A8-6410 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo T6400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A8-6410 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
