A8-6410 vs Celeron 1005M benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the A8-6410 beats the Celeron 1005M in overall performance. Despite this, the Celeron 1005M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A8-6410 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron 1005M that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron 1005M. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-6410 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Celeron 1005M. A A8-6410 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron 1005M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A8-6410 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
