A8-5545M vs Pentium Silver N5000 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-5545M is faster than the Pentium Silver N5000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Silver N5000 in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. The Pentium Silver N5000 outputs less heat than A8-5545M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A8-5545M has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
