A8-4500M vs Pentium Silver N5000 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium Silver N5000 is faster than the A8-4500M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-4500M in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Pentium Silver N5000 has significantly more cores than the A8-4500M. Indeed, the Pentium Silver N5000 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A8-4500M. But they both have the same number of threads. The Pentium Silver N5000 outputs less heat than A8-4500M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the A8-4500M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
