A8-4500M vs Celeron G1610 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron G1610 is faster than the A8-4500M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-4500M in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the A8-4500M has more threads. A A8-4500M CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G1610 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-4500M has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
