A6-9225 vs Pentium N4200 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium N4200 performs better than the A6-9225. Despite this, the A6-9225 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium N4200 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A6-9225 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A6-9225. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A6-9225 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium N4200. The Pentium N4200 outputs less heat than A6-9225 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-9225 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
