A6-9225 vs Core i3-1215U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1215U is faster than the A6-9225. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-9225 in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-1215U has significantly more cores than the A6-9225. Indeed, the Core i3-1215U has 6 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A6-9225. It also has more threads than the A6-9225. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-9225 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1215U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-1215U has significantly more L2 cache than the A6-9225

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A6-9225 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
