A6-9225 vs Core 2 Duo E6850 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core 2 Duo E6850 is faster than the A6-9225. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-9225 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core 2 Duo E6850 has a slightly higher clock speed than the A6-9225. A A6-9225 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E6850 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core 2 Duo E6850 has significantly more L2 cache than the A6-9225

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-9225 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
