A6-9220 vs Pentium N3710 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A6-9220 performs better than the Pentium N3710. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium N3710 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Pentium N3710 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A6-9220 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A6-9220. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-9220 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Pentium N3710. The Pentium N3710 outputs less heat than A6-9220 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-9220 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
