A6-9220 vs Celeron 1037U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Celeron 1037U beats the A6-9220 in overall performance. Despite this, the A6-9220 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the A6-9220 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron 1037U. A A6-9220 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron 1037U CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-9220 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
