A6-7400K vs Pentium 3825U comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium 3825U is faster than the A6-7400K. Despite this, the A6-7400K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Pentium 3825U has more threads. Our comparison shows that the A6-7400K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium 3825U. The Pentium 3825U outputs less heat than A6-7400K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A6-7400K has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium 3825U

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-7400K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
