A6-7400K vs Core i5 M 430 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the A6-7400K beats the Core i5 M 430 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5 M 430 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i5 M 430 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-7400K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5 M 430. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A6-7400K has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5 M 430

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A6-7400K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
