A6-7400K vs Core i3-4030U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-4030U is faster than the A6-7400K. Despite this, the A6-7400K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i3-4030U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A6-7400K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-4030U. The Core i3-4030U outputs less heat than A6-7400K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-7400K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
