A6-7310 vs PRO A8-8600B comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the PRO A8-8600B performs better than the A6-7310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-7310 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-7310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the PRO A8-8600B that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-7310 has a slightly higher clock speed than the PRO A8-8600B. Despite this, the PRO A8-8600B has a slightly higher turbo speed. The PRO A8-8600B outputs less heat than A6-7310 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-7310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
