A6-7310 vs PRO A8-8600B comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the PRO A8-8600B performs better than the A6-7310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-7310 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-7310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the PRO A8-8600B that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-7310 has a slightly higher clock speed than the PRO A8-8600B. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-7310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
