A6-7310 vs Athlon II X2 220 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A6-7310 is faster than the Athlon II X2 220. Despite this, the Athlon II X2 220 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-7310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Athlon II X2 220 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Athlon II X2 220. With our hardware info, we find that the Athlon II X2 220 has a slightly higher clock speed than the A6-7310. In terms of cache, the A6-7310 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Athlon II X2 220
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-7310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
