A6-6400K vs Celeron G1610 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron G1610 performs better than the A6-6400K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-6400K in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron G1610 has significantly more cores with 2 cores whereas the A6-6400K has 1 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A6-6400K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron G1610. The Celeron G1610 outputs less heat than A6-6400K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A6-6400K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
