A6-6400K vs Athlon 3000G specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Athlon 3000G performs better than the A6-6400K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-6400K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Athlon 3000G has significantly more cores with 2 cores whereas the A6-6400K has 1 cores. It also has more threads than the A6-6400K. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-6400K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Athlon 3000G. The Athlon 3000G outputs less heat than A6-6400K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the A6-6400K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
