A6-6310 vs Pentium B940 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A6-6310 is faster than the Pentium B940. Despite this, the Pentium B940 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the A6-6310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium B940 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium B940. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium B940 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A6-6310. A A6-6310 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium B940 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A6-6310 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium B940
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-6310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
