A6-6310 vs Pentium 2020M specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A6-6310 performs better than the Pentium 2020M. Despite this, the Pentium 2020M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the A6-6310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium 2020M has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium 2020M. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium 2020M has a slightly higher clock speed than the A6-6310. A A6-6310 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium 2020M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-6310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
