A6-6310 vs Core 2 Duo E8500 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core 2 Duo E8500 is faster than the A6-6310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-6310 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A6-6310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core 2 Duo E8500 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E8500. With our hardware info, we find that the Core 2 Duo E8500 has a significantly higher clock speed than the A6-6310. A A6-6310 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E8500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core 2 Duo E8500 has more L2 cache than the A6-6310

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A6-6310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
