A6-6310 vs Celeron G550 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron G550 performs better than the A6-6310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-6310 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A6-6310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Celeron G550 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron G550. With our hardware info, we find that the Celeron G550 has a significantly higher clock speed than the A6-6310. A A6-6310 CPU outputs less heat than a Celeron G550 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A6-6310 has more L2 cache than the Celeron G550

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-6310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
