A6-6310 vs A9-9425 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A9-9425 performs better than the A6-6310. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-6310 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A6-6310 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A9-9425 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A9-9425. Our comparison shows that the A9-9425 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the A6-6310. Also, the A9-9425 has a significantly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A6-6310 has significantly more L2 cache than the A9-9425

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-6310 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
