A6-5350M vs Core m3-6Y30 specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core m3-6Y30 beats the A6-5350M in overall performance. Despite this, the A6-5350M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core m3-6Y30 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A6-5350M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core m3-6Y30. Also, the A6-5350M has a significantly higher turbo speed. The Core m3-6Y30 outputs less heat than A6-5350M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A6-5350M has significantly more L2 cache than the Core m3-6Y30

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-5350M has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
