A6-5200 vs Pentium E5400 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Pentium E5400 beats the A6-5200 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-5200 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-5200 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium E5400 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium E5400. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium E5400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the A6-5200. A A6-5200 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium E5400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A6-5200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
