A6-5200 vs Core i7-3630QM specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-3630QM is faster than the A6-5200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-5200 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-3630QM has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-3630QM has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A6-5200. A A6-5200 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-3630QM CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A6-5200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
