A6-3670 vs Core i7-5600U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A6-3670 is faster than the Core i7-5600U. Despite this, the Core i7-5600U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the A6-3670 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i7-5600U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. The Core i7-5600U outputs less heat than A6-3670 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-3670 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
