A6-3650 vs Athlon 3000G comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Athlon 3000G performs better than the A6-3650. Despite this, the A6-3650 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the A6-3650 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon 3000G has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. The Athlon 3000G outputs less heat than A6-3650 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-3650 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
