A6-3620 vs Pentium G3220 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the A6-3620 beats the Pentium G3220 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium G3220 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A6-3620 has significantly more cores than the Pentium G3220. Indeed, the A6-3620 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium G3220. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3220. The Pentium G3220 outputs less heat than A6-3620 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A6-3620 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
