A6-3620 vs Celeron G1610 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the A6-3620 beats the Celeron G1610 in overall performance. Despite this, the Celeron G1610 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A6-3620 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Celeron G1610 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron G1610. The Celeron G1610 outputs less heat than A6-3620 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A6-3620 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
