A4-5300 vs Celeron J1900 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Celeron J1900 is faster than the A4-5300. Despite this, the A4-5300 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron J1900 has significantly more cores than the A4-5300. Indeed, the Celeron J1900 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A4-5300. It also has more threads than the A4-5300. The Celeron J1900 outputs less heat than A4-5300 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A4-5300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
