A10-9600P vs Core i7-4500U benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-4500U is faster than the A10-9600P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-9600P in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A10-9600P has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i7-4500U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-9600P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-4500U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the A10-9600P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
