A10-9600P vs Core i3-5010U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-9600P is faster than the Core i3-5010U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-5010U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A10-9600P has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core i3-5010U that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-9600P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-5010U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A10-9600P has more L2 cache than the Core i3-5010U
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-9600P has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
