A10-8700P vs Core i3-530 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the A10-8700P beats the Core i3-530 in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i3-530 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-530 has a significantly higher clock speed than the A10-8700P. A A10-8700P CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-530 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the A10-8700P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
