A10-7850K vs FX-770K specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-7850K is faster than the FX-770K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-770K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-7850K has a slightly higher clock speed than the FX-770K. The FX-770K outputs less heat than A10-7850K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-7850K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
