A10-7850K vs A8-9600 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the A8-9600 beats the A10-7850K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7850K in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A8-9600 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A10-7850K that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7850K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-9600. The A8-9600 outputs less heat than A10-7850K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A10-7850K has significantly more L2 cache than the A8-9600
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-7850K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
